The Danish company Hedeselskabet is targeting the British market to an increasing extent. Recently, the first power and heating plant, based on gas, was supplied to the British market by its subsidiary HME. The turnkey plant was established at Woking, south of London. HME has also established the joint venture Thameswey Energy Ltd with the municipality of Woking. The aim is to facilitate the operations on the British market. Before mid-April, another power plant will be installed by the company at Tower Hemlets, London.

US: ROCKWOOL IN JOINT VENTURE

A joint venture has been established by Grodania, which is a subsidiary of the Danish insulation materials producer Rockwool, and the American companies Ecoscience and Agro Dynamics. The new company is named Agro-Dan and will offer eco-friendly cultivation systems to the greenhouse industry in America. The systems are to a great extent based on mineral wool media, but the company will also offer computer-based watering systems.

US: DANISH CONCRETE FIRM TO EXPAND

Article Abstract:

The Danish concrete producer Unicon Beton, which is part of the industrial group FLS, aims at expansion in the US. From its basis in North Carolina and South Carolina, the company is planning to expand its operations to the neighbouring states Georgia, Virginia and Tennesee. MD Peter Assam, Unicon Beton, says the company will develop its activities on the east coast, and is discussing with potential acquisition objects.
