U.K. hedge fund loses its early magical powers: did managers rely on feng shui, stars to make decisions?

Article Abstract:

Complaints filed in Britain's High Court by dissatisfied investors allege that NyLon Capital LLP business decisions were influenced by non-conventional practices such as feng shui and astrology. NyLon's performance has been less than stellar since its $1.2 bil launch in January 2005; its biggest backer is Barclays PLC, which has a 12.5% stake.

Wachovia will buy stake in London Fund Manager

Wachovia Corp. of the United States is to purchase a 70 percent stake in European Credit Management Ltd. of the United Kingdom. The funds manager is one of the largest in Europe and manages 20 billion Euros ($26.04 billion) in assets. Wachovia Corp., the American banking giant manages $280 billion is assets.
