Vodafone, Essar are close to finalizing a partnership

Vodafone Group PLC of the United Kingdom and Hutchison Essar Ltd. of India are intializing their partnership agreement. The cell phone operators seem to have ironed out management control issues and are proceeding with the merger. Vodafone Group PLC has purchased an $11.1 billion controlling stake in Hutchison Essar Ltd.

Vodafone Group board member is departing, as company reorganizes

Thomas Geitner, Vodafone Group PLC of the United Kingdom will be resigned by the end of the year. The member of the board is not to be replaced. The mobile phone giant is growing emerging markets and diversifying into new technologies.
