US: PALFINGER TAKES OVER DISTRIBUTOR

The Austrian Salzburg-based crane manufacturer Palfinger has taken over its largest US distributor, Tiffin Loader Crane Company. The Ohio-based company is a specialist for high-technology truck superstructures. A new company called Palfinger USA will be responsible for the sales and after-sales business of the Austrian group in the US.

In year 2000 the Austrian Salzburg-based crane manufacturer Palfinger saw a 67% increase in earnings before interest and taxes to Sch 620mn on a turnover of Sch 4.306bn, up 28% on 1999. Sales increased 25% to 17,097 cranes and systems.
