Correlation between region's markets, U.S. seems weaker

Asian stock indexes have traditionally correlated to U.S. indexes, but this year many Asian markets have risen while U.S. markets declined because technology stocks are now a lesser percentage of market capitalization in Asia. Rebound in tool sales in U.S. could fuel growth for TTI

Techtronic Industries Co. expects its tool business to grow despite the economic downturn in the United States. The Hong Kong-based company expects its sales to increase from $4.6 billion last year to $6 billion this year, with net profits growing from $190 million to over $230 million in the same time period.
