U.S. suit alleges Barr, AstraZeneca colluded on prices

AstraZeneca PLC and Barr Laboratories Inc. are being sued by a US consumer group for allegedly colluding to keep high prices on the tamoxifen breast cancer drug. The suits were filed by Prescription Access Litigation Project.

Drugs firms are sued on price-fix claims

Pharmacia Corp. and GlaxoSmithKline PLC are being sued for price fixing by the state of New York. The state claims that the two companies illegally inflated the costs of drugs in order to increase their market shares.

Glaxo loses Paxil court case in U.S

GlaxoSmithKline has lost an antidepressant drug patent case in Chicago, Illinois. The company lost the case for its Paxil drug to six other companies who had filed a challenge to the company's patent.
