ESTONIA: WIND POWER COMPANY INVESTS IN BIOFUEL

Article Abstract:

The World Wide Wind concern, which owns Jysk Vindkraft, shall extend its investments in biofuel via a newly formed company, VE Gruppen. The company has already started production of wood pellets in a factory in Estonia. The factory is to be extended by the addition of a further two plants. Peer Thomsen, a director in the company, considers the investments in bio fuel to be very profitable. The Danish market is today worth 300,000 tonnes and it is expected to grow strongly when several larger power stations go over to bio fuel. The factory in Estonia is primarily going to deliver to the Danish market.
