Using design to ensure a full house

Article Abstract:

Cambos Enterprises' new bingo club, Buckingham Bingo Club in Bootle, UK, has made full use of design features to attract customers. The purpose-built club, designed by Glazebrook Interior Architects (GIA), offers facilities including an amusement area, restaurants, bars and a main hall. GIA's aim was to create an inviting atmosphere within a huge building, using bright but not brash colours to welcome people. Other design features include high quality fittings and furnishings, wide, comfortable seats, air-conditioning, good access for disabled people, and attention to security.

Tall orders

Article Abstract:

The specialist joinery, Designworkshop has a reputation for minimalist designs. It produces custom designed doors, furniture and flooring working closely with architects and other crafts. The company specialises in wooden products but its design-led, flexible attitude enables it to work with other materials when necessary. Engineering skills and craftmanship are important aspects of Designworkshop's methods and essential with its modern, minimalist work where apparent simplicity often hides a complex technical design.
