Small Holders' Role in Gucci Battle Grows

Article Abstract:

Templeton Funds supported the decision of Gucci Group NV's board and management to reject LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SA's takeover bid of $8.25 billion. Templeton's siding with Gucci could end LVMH's hostile takeover. However, other minority shareholders may side with LVMH. Templeton is the largest minority shareholder in Gucci.

Dutch Oven: game pits nine players against 24 cameras

Article Abstract:

The nine participants in 'Big Brother,' a Dutch television game show, compete to determine who can live surrounded by 24 cameras constantly photographing them. Each week the contestants are chosen for expulsion, and viewers vote to choose one of them. The one person who remains after 100 days wins 250,000 Dutch guilders.
