Votes for Algerian motherhood

Article Abstract:

A referendum has been held on the peace proces in Algeria and the government has reached an agreement with an Islamist guerilla group which involves an amnesty and a pardon. There referendum asks a vague question about peace, rather than whether voters favor an amnesty, which some Algerians have criticized. President Abdelaziz Bouteflika faces challenges over his selection of ministers, and public indifference. There are serious housing shortages and unemployment problems which the public do not expect to be solved by politicians.
