Article Abstract:

Sulzer Flovel Hydro Ltd (SFHL) has commissioned its new production facility at Prithla near Faridabad, Haryana. The facility will produce components for large hydropower turbines. SFHL is involved in the execution of turnkey contracts and engineering and procurement contracts for small and medium hydropower projects. The new facility has welding, machine and assembly shops, a shop support area and administrative offices. The new unit will cater to the increasing demand for hydro power in India. SHFL has secured the ISO 9001 certification from Det Norske Veritas. (ag)(vr)

UB GLOBAL EYES DISTILLING OPTIONS IN SOUTH EAST ASIA

Article Abstract:

UB Global Corporation Ltd, the international trading wing of the UB Group, is negotiating with a couple of prospective partners to set up distilleries in South Asia. The company has chosen Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam and Myanmar as prabable locations to set up its distilleries. The new distilleries, expected to come by the middle of 1999, will produce the Mcdowell and Bagpiper brands along with Tiger Rum which is already available in those countries. (khr)
