Two companies offer travelers new ways to access their e-mail

Article Abstract:

ThatWeb of Singapore and I-Quest of Hong Kong are offering services that enable travelers to access their e-mail back home. ThatWeb lets users retrieve messages by typing their e-mail address and password on an online form in the company's Web site. On the other hand, I-Quest's WorldRoom system involves the use of a PC in a hotel room. The PCs are connected to the Internet which provides users access to their e-mail.

Article Abstract:

Worldroom.com is the website designed for business travelers to Asia rather than the budget tourist or other non-business visitor. Hong Kong-based I-Quest Corp. launched the site that allows for Internet access in hotels, logical listings of hotels and restaurants, ATMs, embassies and cinemas. Future plans include a Chinese language site next, then Japanese and Korean; eventual expansion into Europe is also planned.
