Federated Department Stores Inc.'s Love Goel is the chief operating officer of the company's e-commerce division. Goel, who at 28 is much younger than top managers in the company, has ambitious goals for his e-commerce unit. Goel's lack of experience with managing people has been criticized within the company, but ideas and vision are seen as necessary to the company's success in the e-commerce business.

Problems in Carrefour's home market sank CEO

Chief Executive Officer Daniel Bernard has resigned Carrefour S.A. Under his management the global retailer expanded to approximately 10,000 department stores in 30 countries. However, the French home market problems with price cutting competitors and decreased market share led to the resignation of Daniel Bernard.
