Who owns the knowledge economy

Article Abstract:

Ideas are not free currency in a way perceived by Thomas Jefferson, and there is concern that monopoly power could come to dominate the internet. There has been a call for business method patents to last a shorter time than other types of patents since invention could otherwise be obstructed.
