Why the bombs are falling on Iraq

Article Abstract:

The bombing of Iraq by the US and United Kingdom is leading to disruption of medical and food supplies. The rationale of the no-fly zones was originally to protect Iraqis in Kurdish and Shia areas from persection, but the persecution continues despite the bombings, which affect ordinary people. The bombings appear to be a bid to remove the Iraqi leader, Saddam Hussein, from power. Petroleum exports are affected, and this means that the program allowing petroleum to be sold for food is in jeopardy, hitting ordinary people.
