The key to consultancy

Article Abstract:

Those considering setting up as a freelance consultant should first undertake thorough market research to establish who will pay for what they are planning to offer. They should take advice on a sound business plan, and should ideally have a guaranteed, minimal income for the first few months. Most business will come through conventional marketing, but networking is also a very valuable source of work. It is vital to listen carefully to clients, research their needs and show how you can save them money.
