Winged white elephant: despite its many problems, the four governments behind the Eurofighter should persevere with it

Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK should continue with the Eurofighter program, despite delays, cost overruns and political squabbles. It will be the most advanced fighting aircraft at a reasonable price and will maintain the European aerospace industry as a strategic and economic asset.

Puzzle in the skies

Article Abstract:

An unwillingness by airlines to significantly increase the purchase of new aircraft has led to a slowdown in business for aircraft manufacturers. In spite of a better financial performance by most airlines, few have been willing to invest money in high-end plane such as the Boeing 747.
