WorldCom dessembarca en Espana

Article Abstract:

A license to begin offering value added services in Spain has been granted by the Spanish Telecoms Market Commission (CMT) to US telecoms operator WorldCom, making it the second operator, after Colt, to be granted such a license in Spain. WorldCom's network will basically consist of fibre optics rings. Sector sources claim WorldCom and Telefonica might be planning to carry out joint activity which would protect Telefonica's interests by WorldCom going through its European subsidiary MFS.

Nunez y Navarro invierte 15.000 millones en rehabilitacion

Article Abstract:

The Spanish construction company Nunez y Navarro is carrying out nine restoration projects with an investment of Pta 15,000mn in Barcelona, Spain. Four of the nine buildings will be destined to offices and the rest to housing. The firm plans to restore a building in Madrid in order to transform it into a hotel and a 4,000 metres commercial centre. The works, amounting to Pta 1,500mn, will start in Autumn 1998.
