McDonald's profit surges 57%

McDonald's Corp. of the United States posted soaring second quarter earnings increases by 57 percent to $834.1 million, up from $530.4 million last year. Revenue results were due to the divestment of Chipotle Muexican Grill Inc. shares and stronger sales at European restaurants.

McDonald's profit jumps 53% on new items, longer hours

Article Abstract:

McDonald's Corp. of the United States posted a fourth quarter profit increase of 53 percent, driving net income to $608.5 million. The increased revenue is due to new premium chicken sandwiches and late night hours. Sales in Russia and France are also up.
