Yahoo! focuses on international units

Article Abstract:

Yahoo! Canada has launched three new services, Yahoo! Canada Finance, My Yahoo! and Yahoo! Messenger. The company will market the new services through public relations, the sponsorship of the 1999 du Maurier Tennis Open, Power of Women motivational tours, banner ads in its Web sites and consumer magazine advertisements. Yahoo!'s move is part of an overall strategy to increase traffic in all of its 18 other international sites.

M&M candies lighten up

Article Abstract:

Effem Foods Inc has launched a television advertising campaign in Mar 1999, to promote its new product called M&M's Crispy. The year-long campaign consists of four commercials, one of which was created by New York, NY-based BBDO Worldwide Inc. It is also supported by point-of- purchase materials and samples distributed at various events. Toronto, Ontario-based Glavin and Associates Ltd is handling the Canadian promotions.
