The Common Fisheries Policy of the EU has forced a Scottish skipper Peter Smith out of his home waters. The quota cuts imposed by the EU on British fleet have forced him to fish off Namibia. He believes a similar fate awaits Iceland, Norway and Faroe Islands and urges them not to join the EU.

Article Abstract:

The Chinese government, ahead of their May holidays, informed their banks to stop lending for 4 days, being their way of tightening the reins of growth. The effect of this decision that resulted in big drops in Chinese stocks, gold and copper prices and confusion all over, is described.
