Article Abstract:

Dell Computer is an example of how the internet can help companies improve communication with suppliers and thus improve efficiency. Large companies have to become hubs, with smaller companies becoming spokes, and greater transparency is needed between business partners. Cisco Systems is one company which has embraced the new philosophy. The notion of what a business is is likely to be changed by the internet, as well as notions of how companies behave.
