ZDB exports wheel sets

Article Abstract:

ZDB (Bohumin, Czech Republic), metallurgy firm, commissined new production halls at its wheel set production plant in August 1998. Now, the firm is able to extend its wheel set production. The company's sales volume should increase by 400 mil Kc to 2 bil Kc in 1998. Over 80% of the firm's wheel set production is intended for exports. The volume corresponds to 35% of ZDB's total exports. Having been involved in the production of wheels for goods transport cars so far, the plant will also manufacture wheels for passenger transport cars and locomotives.

Bulgaria demands products from TZ

Article Abstract:

Trinecke zelezarny (TZ) (Trinec, Czech Republic), metallurgy company, will produce 4,000 t of rails of the type S49 for two clients from Bulgaria by the end of November 1998. The rails with a length of 25 mt will be supplied by the end of 1998. Besides, TZ will realise a contract on 250 t of channel rails with a length of 12.5 mt and 18 mt for Bulgaria with Moravia Steel (Czech Republic) in 1998. The rails are intended for the construction of urban tramway networks and transport networks at companies and mines.

TZ exports rails

Article Abstract:

Trinecke zelezarny (TZ) (Trinec, Czech Republic), metallurgy company, plans to sell 140,000 t of rails in 1998. The volume will probably decrease by 10,000 t due to the unfavourable financial situation of Ceske drahy (CD) (Czech Republic), Czech Railways. TZ produced and supplied 113,500 t of rails in 1997. About 60% of the quantity were exported. TZ supplied 40,000 t of rails to CD and nearly 7,000 t to Slovakia in 1997.
