Zaha's spiky progression owes much to the toils of Toker

Article Abstract:

Biltin Toker was a Turkish architectural student born in 1937 who arrived at the Oxford School of Architecture in 1958. Toker's approach of designing buildings was similar to Zaha Hadid and Daniel Libeskind and after the death of Toker in 1996 Hadid and Libeskind picked up the progression in architecture.

Article Abstract:

Issues are presented concerning the architectural designs of Zaha Hadid who was the first architect to move away from rectangular elements in building design. Other expressionist architects and designers are discussed.
