The Royal Bank of Canada's Global Investment Group (GIG) said capitals flow into Asia region including China, Hong Kong and Taiwan will rise from current 2.5% to 15.7% in 2020. Meanwhile, the U.S will drop to 19.1% from 49%. The Hong Kong government should develop a comprehensive financial system and regulations. For higher economic growth, the Hong Kong government should stimulate local demand and production first and pay attention on external factors such as China and Asian countries' political and cultural reforms. *

General Motors Corp. seeks to improve its public image as it highlights its new cars for the Middle Eastern market. McCann-Erickson, the advertising agency, must adhere to the automaker's Corporate Positioning Statement before releasing any creative work. Consequently, the ad agency developed generic auto ads for the Middle Eastern campaign. By focusing on product awareness, General Motors expects to lay a solid marketing foundation in the Middle East.

Corporate Germany lines up for autumn spin-offs

There is expected to be aspate of major disposals in Germany, following the sale of Hoechst's Rieden de Haen subsidiary to Allied Signal of the US. The sale of further assets could generate up to 3 billion deutschemarks. Burda, a publishing company is also selling its MD Papier subsidiary.
