A small town's port stands tall

Article Abstract:

Novolog's Port of Bucks County in Falls Township, PA, emerged as a capable rival to major ports as it spurred industrial growth and employment after more than one and a half years of operation. The port management company's employment at the port has grown to 200 people, while expecting its 200th ship to dock by the end of October 1998. Novolog has handled 189 ships and over 1.5 million metric tons of primarily steel-related cargo. The company expanded to more than 57 acres from several storehouses on 12 acres since April 1997, with plans to construct a 168,000-sq-ft warehouse in November 1998 and two others in the future.
