Aramark CEO abruptly resigns

Article Abstract:

William Leonard, CEO of Aramark Corp. unexpectedly resigned his post on 22 September 2004 and was replaced with the company's largest shareholder and former CEO, Joseph Neubauer. The CEO change comes as Aramark is making a difficult cultural transition from a privately held company controlled by Neubauer to a publicly traded company that has to respond to Wall Street.

US housing boom poised for a bust

Article Abstract:

People in the US are buying more homes driven by the lowest mortgage rates and as a result prices have risen faster than they did during the late-1990s boom. The increase in the home values has helped owners who are facing slumping stocks and slow wage growth.
