Building new avenues

Article Abstract:

Baton Rouge nonprofit organizations are changing their fundraising strategies to be able to cope with the increased number of nonprofits and lowered number of grants. Big Buddy Program, for example, has held its own edition of "Dancing with the Stars", in which local personalities participated. The trends in the nonprofits' operations and service to the community are analyzed.

Going wireless

Article Abstract:

The use of wireless networks in local banks in Louisiana is discussed. Iberville bank's new wireless network was provided by ERF Wireless. The network allows the bank to work on several applications including videoconferencing, voice over Internet protocol communications, and digital security cameras. ERF Wireless also provided connectivity to the Louisiana State Police.
