Dechert Price to merge with longtime London affiliate

Article Abstract:

Center City, Penn.-based Dechert, Price and Rhoads, a law firm, has announced a merger agreement with London, England-based Titmuss Sainer Decher. The combined law firm, which will have a total of 580 lawyers and base its main offices in Philadelphia, will be called Dechert.

Tyco International Ltd. announced yesterday that if would purchase antitheft electronics manufacturer Sensormatic Electronics Corp. of Boca Raton, FL, for $2.3 billion in stock. The price signifies a 61% premium on the firm's Thursday closing price of $14.94.
