Ridge outlined threats by al-Qaeda against specific buildings in New York, Washington and Newark, New Jersey, based on intelligence reports.

Mutual fund battle: Vanguard group's long-term fund business is now larger than Fidelity's and growing faster each month

Vanguard United States biggest company for long-term mutual funds based in Malvern is larger than Fidelity that is progressing faster each month. Fidelity Investments has focused on actively managed funds that provide higher cost for investors whereas Vanguard provides it at a low-cost.

A major headache is created for tax preparers and their clients due to a new tax break levied on dividend income. Brokerage firms and mutual-fund companies are still sorting out which dividends qualify for the low tax rate and which do not.
