Judging how you drive by zip code, credit score

Article Abstract:

Every insurer goes to great lengths to find variables to predict risky drivers who cut most deeply into the company's bottomline. Insurance companies have based their findings on two factors for determining risky drivers, that is, by grouping policy holders in zip codes or towns and secondly by their credit history which shows that the customers with best credit records are less expensive as compared to customers with a history of credit problems who prove the costliest.

How e-mail to customers abets fraud

Article Abstract:

Companies sending e-mails to the customers require to know how persistent online fraud has become and should stop sending links to Web sites. A study made by information-technology consultant at Gartner Inc., revealed that about 11 million people clicked on bogus links that could expose their computer to viruses and spyware and about 2 million among them leaked sensitive information to the phishers.

Protect your modem from hijackers

Article Abstract:

Francisco Rodriguez and his wife, Marlen Soleno who work at Atlantic City hotels were charged with a phone bill of $2,226 for calls to Tuvalu. Verizon representative Rich Young stated that the family's bill was under review by customer relation's officials and explained that their computer, in a fraud known as modem hijacking, made the calls.
