'Let the land sing'

Article Abstract:

The city of Central broke away from Baton Rouge in 2005 mainly because it wanted to have its own school system, the residents had to build a new town from scratch. Central's unofficial town planner Patrick Moore, of the Moore Planning Group had started holding meetings with residents on what they would like Central to have. In general, the plan for the town is to develop dense mix-use villages around the schools but no large apartment buildings or smokestacks.

The Metro Council of Mid City in Louisiana has passed a 43-page ordinance on what type of signs are allowed and are not allowed along Government Street from Interstate 110 to Jefferson Highway. Details on these signs and restrictions are discussed.
