Of the proof pudding

Article Abstract:

AT&T Corp.'s proposed acquisition of Tele-Communications Inc. (TCI) is being questioned by former AT&T customer, Lisa DiLeva. DiLeva stated that after she signed her new appraisal business with the long-distance giant, she encountered several problems such as wrong rates, double charges and bills for someone else's toll-free 800 number. DiLeva, who has now withdrawn from AT&T, stated that she cannot help but doubt whether AT&T will be successful in purchasing TCI to become a one-stop provider of telephone, cable TV and high-speed Internet access services. AT&T spokesperson Mark Siegel stated that the firm begs to differ as DiLeva's case was merely an unfortunate business experience.
