Philadelphia is looking at ways to revitalize the 1,300 Philadelphia Navy Base. John Grady Jr., senior vice president of the Philadelphia Industrial Development Corp. is hoping that people will discover the rich history of the base, and its hundreds of abandoned buildings. The Philadelphia Industrial Development Corp. is charged with redeveloping the base.

Major owner of offices consider Philadelphia pullout

Equity-Office Properties Trust, the nation's largest office-building owner is taking steps to depart out of the Philadelphia region in March 2004. The possible departure of Equity Office comes at a time of raising vacancy rates and intense controversy over tax breaks for new office buildings in Philadelphia.

At Rubenstein, there is no such thing as a free lunch
