3 firms halt merger plan, canceling Digital Fusion

King of Prussia, Penn.-based First Avenue Ventures Inc. has cancelled plans with two Internet-based firms to create Digital Fusion Inc. King of Prussia, Penn.-based Infonautics Inc. and Cedar Knolls, NJ-based IBS Interactive Inc. were planning to merge with First Avenue to create Digital Fusion.

Online music sellers CDnow, N2k go on record with merger plans

Article Abstract:

Partly in response to increased compeition from e-commerce sites such as Amazon.com CDnow Inc. and N2K Inc. have announced a merger. The new company, which will be headquartered in New York, will likely be called CDnow/N2K. CDnow's 28 year-old president will be chief executive of the new company.
