OneBeacon gets lease in former SmithKline site

Article Abstract:

OneBeacon Insurance Group plans to lease its 73,000 square feet at the former headquarters, called GlaxoSmithKline P.L.C., which would be occupied by the Boston-based property and casualty insurer. The lease would activate $14.5 million worth of improvements to the exterior of the building and a new rush-hour shuttle-bus service between the site and the SEPTA and PATCO commuter rail lines.

Regional economic campaign proposed

Article Abstract:

The Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce is ready to launch a coordinate regional effort to create and retain jobs that is to bring business to the forefront in this effort and to work in concert with local and state governments. The Chambers former Gov. Mark S. Schweiker stated that the Philadelphia area requires working together to counter other areas' business-luring operations.
