A Fidelity Investments joint venture has acquired Human Resource Alternatives Inc. (HRA). HRA is a South Jersey-based company that offers human resource services. HRA provides small businesses with employee compensation, payroll, insurance, and retirement plans. The company has a staff of 3,000 employees. HR Logic acquired HRA. HR Logic is a personnel employee organization based in Boston. It is owned by the venture capital unit of Fidelity Investments. Patricof & Co. Ventures also acquired a share in HRA.

Honeywell merger gets final OK; Allied Signal deal approved by European Commission
Article Abstract:
The $14 billion Honeywell merger with Allied Signal creates Honeywell International Inc. which will be headquartered in Morristown, N.J., now that the EC has given its approval. Honeywell has been based in the Twin Cities for 73 years; now the company will cut about 1,500 jobs here, 4,500 jobs overall.
