Bailey Lumber has merged with Ed price Building Materials, and will combine its operations in Baton Rouge with the Ed Price site. Baton Rouge, meanwhile, went up from number 132 in 2005 to 67 in 2007 in the Best Performing Cities Index, a list of places that generated and sustained jobs.
