Bye, VCR: Comcast unveils digital recorder

Article Abstract:

Comcast, New Jersey's largest cable operator plans to launch a service throughout the state that will allow cable customers to tape their favorite shows automatically without a video cassette recorder. The Comcast subscriber by using an on-screen guide can choose shows that they want to record and the system can be set to automatically tape weekly episodes of favorite programs.

Roberts to assume Comcast chairmanship

The meeting of the company's annual shareholders' at the Wachovia Center urges the company to split the jobs of CEO and chairman.
