Variations on a theme

Article Abstract:

Incentive managers looking to reward employees with interesting travel packages need not look farther than Orlando, FL. Observers say theme parties are in vogue right now as companies get younger and executives get tired of routinary corporate functions. Orlando's theme parks have jumped in on the trend by expanding their offerings to include group functions.

A league of their own

Article Abstract:

Women who are successful in their chosen corporate field of expertise are also likely to be successful sportswomen. A 1988 study of 156 Fortune 500 female executives by University of Virginia-Charlottesville Prof Linda Bunker found that 86% of them had been involved in competitive sports as a girl. Title IX of the 1972 Education Act has been widely credited with boosting female participation in sports by 680% between 1972 and 2000. Thus, corporate incentive programs ought to include sporting goods merchandise not only for men but also for women.
