Money for old rope

Article Abstract:

Claims of psychic events should be fully investigated in order to detect incidents of trickery and to discover if some people really have paranormal powers. A newspaper study found more than 60% of the people questioned believed psychics had paranormal abilities. A study of psychics paranormal abilities in solving crimes, when compared to some students, found the students had more insight into the crimes. Scientific investigations into people claiming to have paranormal powers often find evidence of deception yet people watching the events fail to recognize a trick has taken place.

What's in a handle?

Article Abstract:

Handle design is an important factor in the choice of hand tools since poorly-designed handles can lead to pain or discomfort for the user. Amongst the points to consider are whether the handle picks up grease easily since the muscles of the hand have to work harder to maintain a grip on a slippery surface. The contact between the hand and the handle grip, the length and breadth of the handle and the shape and surface of the handle should also be considered. Correctly-designed tool handles can help users avoid conditions such as Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI).
