Accountants find the going tough

Article Abstract:

Accountants in Manchester, England, face pressure from clients to reduce prices. There are three local companies among the largest 15 accountancy firms in Manchester. These companies are Downham Train Epstein, Gruber Levinson Franks and Latham, Crossley and Davis. Activity levels are too low to ease pressure on accountants in north west England. The region has moved out of recession but recovery is not complete. Small and medium firms represent a growing market for accountants. Some of the smaller accountancy firms are performing especially well.
