Article Abstract:

United Technologies Corp., West Palm Beach, Fla., is being awarded a $41,000,000 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to provide for the Joint Technology Demonstrator Engine Program. This program will develop and demonstrate advanced, innovative, high-payoff turbine engine technologies for future fighter aircraft. This was a Program Research and Development Announcement; there were two proposals received. Expected contract completion date is Oct. 1, 2012. Solicitation issue date was Jan. 24, 1997. Negotiation completion date was Nov. 12, 1998. Air Force Research Laboratory, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33615-98-C-2801).

Article Abstract:

United Technologies Corp., West Palm Beach, Fla., is being awarded a $93,930,505 face value increase to a firm-fixed-price contract to definitize production of six F119 engines (four install, two spare) and associated data, engineering support, and preliminary field support applicable to the F-22 Production Representative Test Vehicle aircraft. The work will be performed in their plant in East Hartford, Conn. The work is expected to be completed in May 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-98/C-2004, P00002).
