An alliance of the most profitable kind

Article Abstract:

Gray Communications Systems Inc took advantage of its alliance with cable companies such as CableVision Communications and Genesis CableCompany to increase its number of subscribers. The inclusion of CableVision into the company expanded the Daily Post's paid circulation from 14,000 to 49,000, while the Genesis alliance in 1998 propelled circulation to over 62,000. A study claimed that 75% of the subscribers who receive the newspaper from the cable package read the paper daily, giving significant results to advertisers.

Partnership benefits all

Article Abstract:

The newspaper distribution partnership entered into by La Opinion and the Los Angeles Times has been a great success since it was implented in Aug 2, 1999. The partnership called for La Opinion to provide home-delivery service using the Los Angeles Times' distribution network and to offer a combination of both newspapers at a better price than if bought separately. The deal gave the Los Angeles Times direct access to Hispanic homes, while La Opinion was able to boost daily circulation and advertising revenue.

Partnership is a big hit

Article Abstract:

The multi-level partnership between Durham, NC-based The Herald-Sun and the Durham Bulls, a local AAA baseball club, proved to be a very successful co-branding initiative. For the newspaper, the partnership enable it to boost sales and shut out the competition. As a result of the successful co-branding campaign in 1999, both parties agreed to extend the partnership for a much longer term.
