An implicit model of consumer behaviour

Article Abstract:

The Implicit model of consumer behavior contends that human behavior is based on an inborn bio-energetic imprint and is expressed externally only after being filtered and adapted to social and cultural realities. The model is useful for developing marketing research methods which probe into the unconscious and instinctive aspects of consumer actions and for determining a product's identity and personality. It can also serve as an excellent framework for data collection interpretation and for making marketing decisions.

A self-weighting random sampling technique

Article Abstract:

The random sampling of an electoral population in market research can be performed using the Marchant-Blyth (M-B) technique. The M-B is similar to the widely used National Readership Survey in that both allow interviewers to go to the address of the person to be interviewed. However, in the M-B technique, all residents at the addresses considered are made part of the survey population classified as 'non-electors.'
