The profile of John Ormerod, who is shifting his employment from Deloitte, where he worked as a senior partner, to taking up an appointment as non-executive chairman of Walbrook, a Guernsey-based offshore tax advisory group, is described. He believes to build up a portfolio of jobs in an ideal world probably in the private equity area, one should provide governance being a mentor rather than stopping work.

Cash bonanza for finance chief in NTL-Telewest merger

Article Abstract:

There is a cash bonanza for many directors of the target company, who will be able to take advantage of their shares and share options due to takeover by cable giant NTL of the UK rival Telewest. Telewest finance director Neil Smith is set to get $3.5 million, while chairman Cob Stenham gets almost $20 million, chief executive Barry Elson $17 million, and chief operating officer Eric Tveter $9 million.
