The value increase, in addition to a significant block swap in late Aug 1992, suggests impending corporate developments. The winter equipment and accessories manufacturer doubled its profits to $1.1 million for fiscal first quarter which ended on Jun 1992. A group of investors led by Malcolm I. Glazer expressed interest in acquiring majority of Arctco's stocks but analysts doubt its feasibility.

The positive developments were mainly due to lower prices, reduced manufacturing costs and a promising denim program. Stockholder Cynthia Carll purchased 15,000 shares to increase her stake to 18,700 shares. The firm has no dividends on the 18.9 million shares.
