Article Abstract:

American Science & Engineering Inc.*, Billerica, Mass., was awarded on Sept. 18, 1998, a modification to an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity/firm-fixed-price contract (appropriation number and dollar value will be issued with each delivery order), with an estimated not-to-exceed cumulative total of $30,000,000. This will provide an increase in quantities by 85 to 135 for acquisition of commercial, non-developmental mobile x-ray systems with Model Number 101Z (Mobile) as well as associated delivery, installation and upgrades. Acquisition of additional systems will improve capability for non-intrusive inspection for intercepting drugs, explosives, and other contraband entering the United States via airports and border crossings in support of the United States Customs Service. Work will be performed in Billerica, Mass., and is expected to be completed by May 31, 1999. This is a sole source contract initiated on Feb. 3, 1995. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Communications & Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, N.J. (DAAB10-95-C-R050).

Rockwell Collins Government Systems Inc., Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is being awarded a firm-fixed-price, indefinite quantity/indefinite delivery contract (appropriation number and dollar value will be issued with each delivery order) with a not-to-exceed cumulative total of $21,951,000 for the purchase of part of the AN/ARN-147 radio receiving set, receiver and control over a five year period of performance. Work will be performed in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and is expected to be completed by Feb. 17, 2004. This is a sole source contract initiated on Nov. 3, 1998. The U.S. Army Communications & Electronics Command, Ft. Monmouth, N.J., is the contracting activity (DAAB07-99-D-5403).
