Army likes Raytheon's new sensor integrator

Article Abstract:

Raytheon CO. has fielded the Persistent Surveillance and Dissemination System of Systems (PSDS2) that could collect the imagery from various sensors and turn it into a single live three-dimensional view, greatly facilitating the ability to monitor an area and take appropriate action. Raytheon developed the PSDS2 software for the US Army under an $18 million contract awarded in December 2004, in 110 days time.

New eyes in the air debut in Paris

The new security realities emanating from 9/11 that have brought in their wake big marketing opportunities have generated a strong response from the aviation industry, as can be seen from the exhibits at the 2005 Paris Air Show. Ericsson Group's new radar system, Raytheon Co.'s sensor system, and Bell Helicopter's model of a new unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) are showcased at the show.

Raytheon captures $1.3 billion deal for JLENS aerostat system

Article Abstract:

Raytheon Company has received a $1.3 billion contract modification from the US Army for Joint Land Attack Cruise Missile Defense Elevated Netted Sensor System (JLENS), the sensor-based product for protection against land-attack cruise missiles. The modification contract allows Raytheon to conduct system design and development (SDD) for JLENS.
