Assessment of human muscle strength for engineering purposes: a review of the basics

Article Abstract:

Muscular effects have attracted long-standing interesting in the physiological, psychological and biomechanical sciences. Human body segment strength is routinely measured as the force or,torque exerted to an instrument external to the human body. This is the domain of psychophysical strength testing. This information is of substantial significance to ergonomics designers and engineers because it it can mimic actual conditions on the job.
